We´ll be alright if it doesn´t rain

1 liter of sangria is a good start to a blog post eh?  I think Adam and I have both uped our alcohol tollerance a great deal this trip.  We had a liter of sangria yesterday too!  Today is our last day on Palma de Mallorca.  I can´t say that we are too disappointed to be leaving though.  It rained everyday that we were here except for today and the first day we had here.  Kind of a bummer considering that the primary reason we came to this place was to climb.  Rain can really put a damper on climbing :)  Yesterday we even got a power outage for a while because there was such crazy lightening!  At least we got a little entertainment with the rain.  Today turned out excellent though.  A great end to our time here.  We went sea kayaking in the morning and found a great little cove with crystal clear water and lots of fish, and in the afternoon we went to the climbing crag closest to our hotel and spent a few hours in the sun dong what we do best.  Adam sent 2 more 12´s at that crag, including an awesome roof route and I top-roped an 11c!  We even had a great dinner at our favorite little restaurant here, Roma.  We both had pizza.  I have been loving the pizza on this trip.  I am pretty sure I have gained at least 10 pounds because I love the pizza so much.  I think this will be the last post while we are abroad.  We fly to Barcelona tomorrow and then home on the 8th.  I will post some more pictures when I get home and have a better computer and have tome to reflect on this crazy trip that is about to come to a close.  I am missing my home at his point though and all of my lovely friends and family.  Thanks for being interested in our lives.  Sorry for all the mis-spellings  and other grammar errors, I´m not very good at writing to begin with and after 1/2 liter of sangria I can´t imagine what I´ve mispelled. :)

Another rainy day

Today was another rainy day on the island of Mallorca.  As was yesterday and tomorrow will probably be the same.  It´s a good thing we both brought some good books to read and that the food here is so delicious,  Here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Some pictures

Today is a rainy day here on the island.  It appears we did not come at the best time of the year here.  It has been pretty rainy since we arrived.  Luckily there have been a few sunny moments so we got to do some climbing and spend some time and the beach.  Hopefully it will clear up later this week!  Here are some photos for everyone!
Gondola ride in Venice!  So nice.

Best meal of the trip.  A great little spot in Venice.

Adam with our cute little car in Arco.  We just might have to get one of these babies imported :)

Climbing in Arco

The view from our hotel in Mallorca.  It´s fun to watch all the crazy sail boats and yachts come in.

Es Pontas in Mallorca.  Lots of cool climbing on this arch but it proved to be difficult to get to without a boat.

no words for this one :)

Sorry about that last post.  I got cut short because my time ran out at the hotel computer.  I haven´t had a chance to tell you all about Arco, Italy yet so I think I will start there.  I think Arco is my new favorite place in the whole world.  It was absolutely beautiful.  We picked up our little 2 door rental car (a Lancia Ypsilon) in Verona after a short train ride from Venice and drove through a crazy valley filled with vinyards and surrounded by dramatic huge mountains.  We stayed at an agriturisimo here and it was awesome.  We had a little kitchen and a great little balcony with an amazing view.  It was nice to take a break from eating out and make some food of our own.  The place we were staying even had some fruiting cherry trees out front so we took full advantage of that.  We spent a good chunk of our time climbing or trying to climb.  Finding a good crag proved to be harder than we expected, but we managed in the end.  Adam even fought a chain fence with the car and ended up winning with a little damage to the fence.  We drove away from that one pretty quick.  As quick as we could on the crazy narrow roads that is. The last day we were there was the craziest stormy weather.  It rained and hailed with spots of sun and then wind and rain and hail again.  it was fun to watch but cut short some of our climbing time.  (but adam did still drag me to a cave in the pouring rain so he could climb some of the steep and dry routes)
We are now in Mallorca after the crazy day of traveling I think I mentioned in the last post.  It is quite nice here.  The mix of people is pretty interesting though.  It seems to be a place for the old and retired and their families.  Not many people here our age.  We climbed here yesterday and today and had a little bit of beach time yesterday.  Apparently this beach is a topless beach, so that was a little uncomfrotable at first.  We saw lots of boobies, I kept mine in my bathing suit.  Today was pretty neat.  Adam got to deep water solo and I got to hang out on a beautiful beach and take some really cool pictures of him.  (deep water soloing is climbing without a rope over, you guessed it, deep water)  We forgot the camera today, but I promise the next post I will put up some pictures.  It rained for most of the afternoon today so we are doing the boring stuff like laundry and updating the blog.  Tomorrow another adventure!

Hey there.  Sorry it´s been so long since our last post.  It was just too much fun in Arco to tak time to find an internet cafe.  I only have 3 minutes left on the computer I´m using right now so this will have to be a short one too.  We just arrived in Mallorca yesterday evening after a long and stressful day of driving across Italy, delayed flights and nearly missed connections and crazy island driving.  In the end we found our hotel and we are still married.

Venezia

Well folks we are now in Venice and it is so great.  We are enjoying our time here more than we did in Rome.  It is much more quiet and it is fun to get lost in all the back alley's.  We went to St. Mark's square today but decided to save our money for the Peggy Guggenheim collection and the Frari church.  the Frari Church was my favorite so far this trip and the Guggenheim was also amazing.  Lots of great art.  Here are some pictures for you all.
The train ride from Rome to Venice was really pretty

Roma

Ciao!  We made it to Rome safely everyone.  This city is crazy!  Today we saw the coluseum, the Pantheon, a hand full of churches, the Trevi Fountain and a few other things I'm not sure how to spell at the moment.  The churches were absolutely amazing.  I wasn't disappointed by a single thing that we stumbled upon today.  It's crazy how much there is to see here.  You could spend months here and not see all the history in this crazy city.  I finally figured out how to get some pictures on here so here are a few from Barcelona and Rome.

It's taking way too long to load the photos so this is all you get for now.  I promise I will post more in Venice.  Tomorrow we will go to the Vatican Museum and Sistine chapel.  Loves.
